HI, I’M CHELSEA!
Or, as my husband used to call me, Chelz.
I honestly was not a fan of the z but he liked it and he’s awesome and really who doesn’t like putting z’s on things. When I take a moment to really look at Chelz, it looks awesome, and you know, I really like it. Will, why don’t you call me Chelz anymore?
And now…we are three! We added the sweetest addition to our family in 2013, Leona Florence. She will be a frequent feature here, which will basically make this feel like a mom blog to many, but its really a blog about our life ( :) which she runs). So if you’re into that thing and into hearing about it from a momma who also believes in creating, crafting, learning how to do said crafts, entrepreneurship ,and trying to do it all, and failing sometimes, having fun as much as possible, and being grateful for it then this blog will be your jam.
I believe in being real, especially in blogging, so here is some honest to goodness raw truth about me. For a large portion of my life I have dealt with severe anxiety/hypochondria/ocd. The titles don’t really matter because we all have our own set of problems. These things have had many an opportunity to completely shut down my happiness, but instead I have chosen to see what these things can do to make me happy instead. I know there are lots of others dealing with these things and it is truly about working daily to move past it and find your joy.
How have I done that? Well I’ve started my own little styling company, I blog, I travel, I love, and I say yes to myself. I try to get my hands into as many creative projects as possible and in the between I try to cook good food and do good things for my body. I also like gelato, podcasts, chips, lots of hugs/kisses/jokes with my husband, yoga, and toddler snuggles/giggles/all of the toddler things that don’t involve destruction and screaming.
The journey to motherhood has been my one of my biggest challenges. I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum and SPD and a wide variety of fun pregnancy complications but this little lady is so loved. If you or someone you know is going through this, I am available at all times to offer support, knowledge, or jokes, or anything needed. I’m an open book about it and want to help!
This year is going to be one for the books, literally, as we have decided to travel and move to New York City for me to pursue my dream of writing and publishing and attain a fancy new degree!
On that note. Life is short y’all. Lets make it a party. A real pretty one.
