For years before moving to Comfort, we planned and talked before bed about this grand garden we were going to plant. While we missed most of the planting season this year with all of this years festivities (because I refuse to use negative words about these past two years anymore) we decided to give it a go despite it and hope for the best. Much to our delight, and honestly, surprise, most of our seeds have sprouted and are getting ready to bloom if they haven’t already! Our first born, the squash, which is only fitting because squash is our favorite veggie in this house. We said our thank you’s over the plant and gently picked our two ready squash and Leona danced in excitement just as she has every day when we water our garden. Felt like one of those moments that you want to replay over and over. It may seem like a small thing to many, but to us, it was truly one of our dreams coming true. Excitement is brewing for when we get to pick our next veggies, I’m going its the carrots. Also, this was the tastiest squash I’ve ever had.
