One of our favorite suburbs in Melbourne is Brighton. It is classy and clean and has so many things packed into a tiny area near the beach. You can easily just spend the day eating delicious food and having a wine a the movie at Palace Theatre, shopping and lots of fun little areas to play with your little. We found this gem there early on in our trip here and originally thought it was some sort of upscale preschool.
Turns out it is an old church and private school that has been restored and made into an restaurant.
The inside is really neat and feels like eating in a fancy dining hall but since it was a warm and breezy winter day we opted to eat in the impeccably setup outdoor area.
Leona loved all of the art installations and especially the little playground! It was nice to not have to sit and try to keep a fidgety two year old occupied while we waited for the food. Something always ends up spilled at the table. Please tell me we aren’t the only family that goes through this every meal?
Lovely glass of chardy while the wind carried the sound of little toddler giggles through the patio. Perfect.
Thought the food was about to be there so we brought her to the table. This is her trying to spill the jar of sugar.
Holy burger and chips heaven.
I am such sucker for good package design, luckily these were as delicious as they were cute!
Inspecting, as toddlers do.
We were lucky that Shane and Kate were both able to join us for lunch! Its a treat to catch them both on a weekday!
We can’t wait to go back! If you are in Melbourne this is definitely a place to add to your list. Especially i you are traveling with kiddos!
